What is the Medi-Cheval® saddle pad? A Medi-cheval® saddle pad has velcro openings which allow the rider to get a custom fit through the use of inserts of various sizes. The pads have a breathable micro-fiber suede top which adheres well to the underside of the saddle. The underside is a hollow fiber fleece made without seams on the horse's back. The special material does not build heat & the rider never gets that 'sitting on a hot sponge' feeling. When properly fitted to the horse a crop should be able to slide under the pad over the spinal column. By using various inserts which velcro to each other it is possible to adjust a small area, such as under the stirrups or the rider's behind. This pad has an anatomical shape, is very lightweight & fast drying. Great for horses with allergies. Can I use my TREELESS saddle for Long Distances? Yes!!
