They are designed by Classical Rider & Trainer, Heather Moffett. It is a revolutionary design, unlike any other saddle on the market. The saddle is best described as a part-tree saddle. Unlike other partially treed saddles, the Fhoenix Saddles have their form in the cantle. This forms a firmer cantle giving more support for the rider. The lack of a tree in the front allows the horse optimum shoulder & front end movement. It is made from the finest Italian leathers. It is comparable to the highest quality Dressage saddles. When you buy a Fhoenix you are buying the very best in quality of material, craftsmanship & design. Black, brown or Cognac leather. Fhoenix Vogue Dressage
This saddles offers a truly classical seat with a twist to avoid that wide stretched feel so common in treeless saddles. Rider is supported in a memory foam seat. The E bar stirrup ring is recessed for comfort. The underside of the saddle is made of leather with access to the support panels. These panels come in foam or wool. They are easily interchanged to personalize the fit to the horse. All of Heather Moffett's saddles can be used with movable knee blocks.
Vogue GPS/GPT
The Vogue GPS offers all the features of the Dressage Vogue with the stirrup attachment being set 1" further forward allowing the rider to get into 2-point & jumping position easier. Many riders find this more comfortable for Trail Riding. With extra D rings added to the saddle it makes an ideal choice for Endurance riders looking for extra support for long distance, rugged riding. The GPT model shown below with optional decorative stitching is great for taller riders with a long leg.
Fhoenix Standard Dressage or GP
The Standard Dressage is the original design by Heather Moffett. It features all the same support as the Vogue line with a lower cantle & less of a rise at the pommel. The opening for the stirrup leather & its attachment is cut more open the in the Vogue Line. This saddle is a great option for the smaller rider. It is available in a Dressage {left} or GP {below} cut.
Smart Panel
The ‘Smart Panel’ was designed especially for the Fhoenix & Vogue saddles, replacing the former Suberpanel. The panel is filled with tiny cork granules, the interior being channeled to prevent the cork migrating but still permitting it to move, in order to mold to the shape of the horse. The front is now cut to follow the contour of the saddle, meaning no pulling down over the withers, and the outer cover is removable for washing separately. Available in black or brown, in small, to fit a 16-17”, medium (to fit 17”-18”) or large (to fit 18”- 19”). These panels are also working brilliantly with other makes of treeless saddle. They replace the need for various other types of padding, also adding to the feeling of a narrower ‘twist’ which many treeless saddles do not have.
Stirrup Irons
These wide tread stirrups were designed by Heather to hang the way they should - so your foot slips in easily & stays there! The tread is angled slightly down so your foot sits comfortably. Very popular with dressage riders & great for jumping. Size: 4 1/2" $95
